PresidentEugene Bryan is graduate of Penn State University and University of Memphis and retired from Memphis and Shelby County after 30 years as an urban planner and policy analyst. He currently heads the Sustainability Division of Eco-Systems Inc working on environmental, green building and community sustainability issues. He has been professionally active in the Cordova area since the mid-1980's, and first became a resident of Cordova in 1990. Eugene has been recognized by the State of Tennessee American Planning Association for excellence in planning involving his work in the Cordova area. Through a strong background in zoning and community development, neighborhoods and transportation planning, he brings a commitment to growing and maintaining Cordova as one of Memphis' great communities.Vice PresidentBrian Stephens, an attorney and business owner, serves on several Memphis non-profit organizations, including the Cooper-Young Development Corporation, the Cordova Leadership Council, and United Housing. He is also past chair of Shelby Farms Earth Day and Committee Chair of Mayor Wharton's Sustainable Shelby. A former 1st Lieutenant in United States Army (Honorable Discharge), Brian also is the CEO and Founder of Eco-Systems, Inc., a practicing attorney specializing in business law as well as an adjunct professor at the University of Memphis. Brian was also awarded the Memphis Business Journal’s “Top 40 Under 40” in 2006 for his civic and business involvement in the community SecretaryMark Chambers, a practitioner of behavior analysis and therapy services, provides training and consultation to individuals, families, schools, and residential agencies in west Tennessee. Mark has his certification through the Behavior Analysis Certification Board and is a member of the Association for Behavior Analysis International and Tennessee Association for Behavior Analysis. He currently serves as Chairperson for TABA's Professional Standards Committee. His articles have been published in the North American Journal of Psychology, Research In Developmental Disabilities, and Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis. Mark currently is a member of the City of Memphis' Park Services Master Plan Update Committee and newly appointed City of Memphis Ethics Board. TreasurerCoy N. Haraway, a certified public accountant and resident of Cordova since 1970, is a past president of the Cordova Civic Club and has served many years as the secretary of the Cordova Kiwanis Club. He is the founder and co-chairman of the Cordova Arts & Crafts Festival, the major fund raising event for the Cordova Community Center, a non-profit corporation.

Carole Ann Burns - Carole Ann has a business degree from Arkansas State University and has lived in Cordova since late 1970's, She has served on the homeowners association boards for the subdivision where she has lived and currently resides in the Woodchase Subdivision. Carole Ann is a Realtor &Vice President with Crye-Leike Realtors since 1983 with a heavy focus on Cordova. Active member of Covenant United Methodist Church, served on board of United Methodist Neighborhood Centers and other church related boards.
James Bolden - James is the former president of Memphis Metropolitan Association Chiefs of Police and past vice president of Tennessee Association Chiefs of Police. He has more than 25 years of active community service with Vollintine Evergreen Community Association, Berryhill Farms Neighborhood Association, Memphis Jaycees, and Board of Directors Memphis Child Advocacy Center.
Olliette Murry-Drobot - Olliette has 12 years of experience in community economic development. Olliette serves as the Program Director for the Southeast Memphis Community Development Corporation. Olliette serves on The Leadership Academy Fellows Alumni Board and United Way of the Mid-South Venture Fund committee. She is a 2005 graduate of the Leadership Academy’s Fellows program. Olliette has received several awards including “50 Women Who Make a Difference” award, Memphis Business Journal “ Top 40 Under 40” and the Working Woman Magazine’s “ 20 Under 30”. Mrs. Murry-Drobot holds a Bachelor of Arts from Rhodes College, Master of Arts from the University of Memphis, and Master of Business Administration from Belhaven College. Olliette is also a licensed Realtor specializing in residential sales.
Karen Pentecost - Karen joined the council board in 2008. She and her husband Don have lived in Cordova since 1984. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Karen, mom of three boys, has been involved mostly with schools in the area over the years, serving on PTA boards and volunteering in many capacities. She is a preschool teacher and is most interested in keeping Cordova a clean, safe community to raise families. This is her first experience serving a community-wide association.
Mark Goble - Originally from Virginia, Mark and his wife, Kim, came to Memphis in 1997 when Mark was Called to serve as the associate pastor of Christ the King Lutheran Church. Mark is a
graduate of Old Dominion University and prior to serving as a pastor worked for the Campbell Soup Co. Kim, a graduate of Miami University of Ohio, works for Thrivant Financial for Lutherans, and prior to this held many positions in the banking industry. Mark and Kim and there three children, Evan, Trevor and Elizabeth reside in Cordova. Mark has been a member of the CLC for two years.
Jeslyn Sammons - Jeslyn is retired from Buckeye Technologies Inc. after 22 years in the International Sales Department. She attended the University of Arkansas-Jonesboro and has lived in Memphis since 1963. She previously served as President and Board Member of the Homeowner’s Association in Stage Park Meadows neighborhood where she lived for 32 years. She was instrumental in obtaining a $15,000 grant awarded by the City of Memphis to build three brick entrance signs, and helped to stop attempted down-zoning in the neighborhood. She was awarded the Outstanding and Dedicated Service Award and Neighborhood Leader of the Year, 2004, by the City of Memphis. She is currently is a Core Group Leader in Community Bible Study. Jeslyn is immensely interested in Cordova that fosters a sense of spirit, identity and pride community-wide.
Past PresidentsPatti Yeiser "PK" Potter served as President of the Cordova Leadership Council from 2004-2006. She has a strong background in community service, serving on the board of directors of many organizations in Memphis over the past 30 years. As a 12 year resident of Cordova, she is a dedicated advocate of smart, controlled growth. As a former Shelby County Master Gardener, she is passionate about helping create beautiful Cordova neighborhoods. Professionally she is founder and President of Yeiser Training for the Financial Industry, serving as a training seminar leader, sales coach, and frequent speaker at trade industry events. PK is married to Environmental Court Judge Larry E. Potter, who is recognized nationally as the Father of Environmental Courts in America. Both PK and Judge Potter strongly support protecting the quality of lifestyle for all Cordovans.
Steve McManus has been a licensed financial adviser for 24 years. He is currently employed at First Tennessee Brokerage as a Vice President in their Investment Division. He served for four years on the Board of Directors of the Germantown Community Theatre and is a graduate of Leadership Memphis. He is the on-air local business commentator for WHBQ FOX-TV and Past Finance Chairman of the Shelby County Republican Party. His wife, Christal and two sons, John and Michael are long term residents of Cordova. He is currently our State Representative for District 96. |
